Who We Are

Our Company

Established in 2006, we are a premier mineral drilling contractor specialising in deep hole directional drilling services across Australia with offices in Perth and Brisbane. DDH1 was formed by Murray Pollock and Matt Thurston who share 80 years of drilling experience and were pioneers of the multiple intersection directional drilling techniques that are widely used today. Since inception, we have been focused on providing the best possible experience through safe and efficient operations using the most advanced available equipment.

“We don’t take short cuts on quality and we employ the most experienced and technically savvy people in the industry”

This continued focus on quality and reliable service delivery has seen DDH1 Drilling grow from humble beginnings to a fleet of 72 highly specified diamond coring rigs. With 700 employees we aim to service everyone from the smallest explorer to the top tier miners and are ISO accredited in safety & environment.
