Peter Crennan

General Manager

Peter is responsible for DDH1’s national operations, supporting teams across Australia to deliver safe and efficient outcomes.

He combines a strong technical foundation in directional drilling, complex mine service holes and remote exploration programs, with proven operational leadership to guide DDH1’s 700- strong workforce.

Peter is recognised for his commitment to developing people and fostering a culture of growth, guiding employees by drawing on the career pathway and experiences he has had at DDH1.

He has championed workplace campaigns on safety and psychosocial wellbeing, strengthening DDH1’s focus on building a safe, supportive, and resilient workforce.

Rob Wegner

Regional Manager, West

Rob is responsible for the operational functions of DDH1 in the West, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-performance project delivery.

With more than two decades of experience in deep hole and directional diamond drilling, Rob has successfully led teams across a range of high-specification programs for both major and junior clients.

His leadership skills have been honed through key roles at Drillcorp Western Deephole, Baker Hughes, and Core Drilling Services, where he consistently delivered strong results while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Tim Turner

Regional Manager, East

Tim oversees the operational functions of DDH1 in the East. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Tim brings an exceptional breadth of drilling expertise.

His background spans across surface and underground diamond drilling, coal, mud rotary, geotechnical, RAB, air core and RC drilling. Tim has held key operational and leadership roles across major drilling contractors including Boart Longyear, Major Drilling, and Western Deep Hole.

His hands-on experience and technical knowledge are complemented by time in technical sales support, giving him a well-rounded perspective on client needs and operational delivery.

Sherelle Howitt

HSE Manager

Sherelle is responsible for HSE compliance across DDH1, overseeing risk management programs with a strong focus on critical risks, audits, investigations and performance improvement.

With 26 years of experience in resources, infrastructure, and construction industries, she brings deep expertise in system simplification, behavioural safety, musculoskeletal injury reduction and critical risk management.

Her career began as a Graduate with Rio Tinto before holding senior roles with BHP, Transfield and SGS. Sherelle’s approach to safety leadership was recognised by BHP WAIO Exploration, who co-named their annual Safety Leadership Award in her honour.

Vib Jeyaraj

People & Culture Manager

Vib leads the People & Culture function at DDH1, managing recruitment, training, employee relations and Human Resources projects to enhance engagement, leadership capability and system integration.

Full profile

Drawing on 25 years of HR experience across ASX-listed organisations in oil and gas, manufacturing, telecommunications and utilities, Vib has delivered programs that improve organisational performance and employee wellbeing, while also driving workforce integration in international settings.

Prior to joining DDH1 she held senior leadership roles with Contract Resources and Service Stream Holdings. She has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Portsmouth.

Ian McMurray

IT & Cyber Security Manager

With more than two decades of IT and cyber security experience, Ian leads DDH1’s technology and cyber resilience functions.

Throughout his career, Ian has overseen enterprise scale transformations that have strengthened security and improved operational efficiency across industries, including mining, architecture, marine and construction.

Since joining DDH1 in 2015, he has modernised digital infrastructure, replacing legacy systems, migrating to scalable SaaS platforms and implementing enterprise grade security stacks. He also led the rollout of advanced satellite communications and safety systems for field crews, ensuring reliable connectivity for remote teams.

Nathan Wyndow

Business Development Manager

Nathan leads the business development function at DDH1, focusing on new client acquisitions, long-term relationship building and strategic account management.

With 35 years’ experience across drilling, water treatment, equipment sales and hire, and mining, Nathan combines sector knowledge with commercial insight to align client needs with practical solutions. He ensures professionalism and ethical standards underpin every engagement, turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.

Nathan holds a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Management from Deakin University and has completed various programs with the Australian Institute of Management.

Daniel Stean

Procurement & Inventory Manager

Daniel oversees procurement and inventory management for Drilling Services and aligns sourcing, logistics, and supply chain strategies with broader procurement and ESG objectives.

With more than 30 years of experience, Daniel brings strategic expertise in sourcing, contract negotiations, inventory optimisation and international logistics. He delivers favourable commercial outcomes while ensuring long-term supplier alignment.

Daniel holds a Graduate Certificate in Small Business from Curtin University and qualifications in business growth, contract law, risk management and procurement from Curtin and the Australian Institute of Management. He also serves on the WAFEX Advisory Board.

Tyler Sorrell

Management Accountant

Tyler heads DDH1’s management accounting function, converting operational data into timely insights through month-end reporting, budget performance guidance, and disciplined financial stewardship.

Full profile

Tyler’s career started at Deloitte, gaining experience in private-sector audit across mining, construction, transport and not-for-profit clients. At DDH1, he has supported strategic, operational and financial decision-making through timely and accurate reporting.

Tyler holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Curtin University, and a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (CAANZ).
